Food All Year
Natural food runs short in late winter and in the summer gap. A steady feeder bridges both.
Natural food runs short in late winter and in the summer gap. A steady feeder bridges both.
Old trees and holes in walls are disappearing. A well-placed box replaces them for decades.
Birds drink and bathe every day, even in frost. Shallow fresh water draws the most visitors.
The Bird Garden
One feeder by a window is enough to bring in blue tits within a week. Add a bath and a nest box, and the same garden can host a dozen species through the year. We stock only what we would put up in our own gardens, and we pack every order by hand.
Which food for which bird?
Blue, great and coal tits love fat balls, suet and peanuts in a mesh feeder. Hang them high, near cover.
Shop fat ballsGoldfinches and greenfinches go for sunflower hearts and nyjer. Hearts leave no husks on the lawn.

Seasonal Guide
DecFill feeders before dawn with fat balls and sunflower hearts. Break the ice on baths each morning.
Winter food
MarFix boxes facing north-east, 2–4m high. Avoid whole peanuts and bread: chicks can choke on them.
Nest boxes
JulRefresh baths daily and scrub weekly. Switch fat to hearts and mealworms in hot weather.
Baths & drinkersGood to Know
